The looks at Milan Fashion Week (part II)

For the second part I picked a few representative looks from the collections of world renowned designers that I absolutely loved such as Missoni, Dolce & Gabbana, Roberto Cavalli, Salvatore Ferragamo among others, but I must admit there were some unpleasant surprises too. I was a bit disappointed of Marni's collection and some of  Emporio Armani's looks but who am I to judge, right? Anyways, I enjoyed going through to each and every single shot of this year's collection at the comfort of my living room, this year my feet were lucky enough to rest! Who am I kidding? I rather have hurting bleeding feet and go to the fashion shows than staying home and watch them through a bad internet connection...maybe next Fashion Week. :)

The looks of Milan Fashion Week (part 1)

I am big big fan of Italian designers and my favorite season without any doubt is Autumn/Winter. Every collection that is shown at the runways is a lovely vision of my fantasy wardrobe. So many looks I loved but just a few are shown here just to give you a pretty good idea of  what Milan Fashion Week was all about. For instance, I loved most of Etro's collection that was menswear inspired, Gucci's velvets and Gothic style, Alberta Ferreti's femininity and classy designs, Karl's beautiful picks of luxurious materials for Fendi, the 60s inspired looks of Just Cavalli, Kritzia's taste for a modern everyday woman or Versace's elegant gowns.

Invisible Children: Make Kony Famous!

Have you heard about Joseph Kony? I certainly didn't until I saw this video. The idea is to make him as famous as your favorite celebrity but not to applaud him but to support his capture. Awareness of who he is and what he's done will make the difference ... spread the word!

10 Best Looks at London FW12

I am a huge fan of Burberry Prorsum and this time it was not the exception I loved pretty much most of the outfits for men and women and I can't get enough of that classic English look simply because you can wear it everywhere you want and always looking very smart.
Another designer that blew my mind was of course Mary Kakrantzou, it is simply amazing what she does with the fabric, lots of fantastic prints and unbelievable imagination ... if only I had the money and the occasion to wear one of her dresses! I girl can dream, right?
It was quite difficult to pick only 10 designs from London Fashion Week specially since I fell in love with entire collections from different designers but at the end these were my absolute obsession.

Wearable Looks of NYFW A/W12 part 2

Beautiful creations were shown at this year's fashion week. Many designers had the chance to shine on the runway and most of these creations were only a dream for must of us "the real people". I don't think I'm going to have an award show scheduled or a premiere to go to any time soon so the least WE "normal broke human beings" can do is try to recreate as much as we can this amazing looks freshly squeezed from the runways, for example the following looks are a great inspiration for my own style and hopefully I will have in my possession a few key pieces for this fall/winter season like leather jackets or faux fur vests so I can look as fabulous and as glamorous as all this lovely skinny models.
