"I Wish..." Wish List

I recently posted my "spring's affordable wish list" as a reminder of a humble and more realistic way to acquire some of my lovely vices but this does not mean I cannot have my imaginary harmless list of things I would love to own. To do so, what is the next best thing when you can only dream about certain material "obsessions"? well... you wish for them and create your "I wish...wish list" and hope for a significant increase in your pay check or pray for someone to become a good Samaritan and give it to you as a gift for being a great caring human being who wants to look and feel always great..for the sake of others of course! ;).
It has become a viceful habit of mine to day dream about this wish list, first I start browsing on my favorite on-line boutique looking for the current "must have" of the season but since this might give me a mini-heart attack when I look at the price tag then I switch to my Fashiolista account and pick the items that I wish I had. My mini-heart condition starts to slowly go away while I finally understand it was just a dream...

Spring's Affordable Wish List

New Season means New Wardrobe! with this in mind and with a spring break trip ahead I have already made plans for my not-so-glamorous budget, for this reason I should only focus on the basics... but I know me and I easily get distracted in the land of shopping... Anyhow, I will start with Forever21:

From Werelse for Mango Touch:

I will definitely take advantage of the sales that Saks Fifth Avenue has to offer like the Miu Miu ankle booties or the Marc by Marc Jacobs messenger bag :

And from BCBG:

Smells like Spring trends!

In case you haven't notice, spring is around the corner and with that warm feeling in mind comes the excitement of having your spring/summer wardrobe ready to be worn! Let's remember what we saw on the runways last September. The first blossoming trend is "floral"... ground breaking! Designers like Prabal Gurung, Blugirl, Altuzarra, Mary Kakrantzou, Peter Som, Erdem and Christopher Kane pulled the floral card out of their sleeve.

The next major trend obviously are "pastels" and the mixing of the pastels is crucial.

Giambattista Valli

Chanel

"Under the Sea" would be another refreshing trend seeing at the runways where Chanel, Giorgio Armani, Peter Pilotto, Louis Vuitton  and Versace where among my absolute favorites.

"White and Fresh" was seeing in  most of the collections, this trend I will always love for those warm summer months, there is something about the white pieces that makes you look modern and chic without going over the top with the trends.

Chloe

Louis Vuitton

"Prints and more Prints"! Don't you just love them? You can spot this trend on the silky Dolce & Gabbana foulards, the sexy short Stella McCartney dresses, the animal print pieces of Michael Kors, Roberto Cavalli, Salvatore Ferragamo and Giambattista Valli.

Roberto Cavalli

We can only dream of having this beautiful garments in our closet but the least  we can do is try to recreate this trends by spotting great amazing deals at low-cost brands. So good luck finding them and have an amazing ready-to-wear spring!

Man up!: Miu Miu A/W12-13

What a difference a year makes! Last fall collection Miu Miu gave us a very feminine line which I immediately fell in love with specially for its famous glittery shoe line and romantic clutches and handbags but this year's winter collection was remarkably the opposite. A very masculine line walked the runway and renowned models like Coco Rocha showed us how a woman can still be feminine wearing such a menswear inspired collection.
I still don't know if I should hate or love the first part of the shoe line but as the show continues and the heel's platform becomes taller my confusion disappears. The cropped flared trousers, the prints, the side-burned look, the mid-caped jackets, the chunky embelishments and the 70's platform shoes were the main star of this year's Miu Miu collection. Enjoy!

And in case you forgot last year's show, here you have it!

The looks at Milan Fashion Week (part II)

For the second part I picked a few representative looks from the collections of world renowned designers that I absolutely loved such as Missoni, Dolce & Gabbana, Roberto Cavalli, Salvatore Ferragamo among others, but I must admit there were some unpleasant surprises too. I was a bit disappointed of Marni's collection and some of  Emporio Armani's looks but who am I to judge, right? Anyways, I enjoyed going through to each and every single shot of this year's collection at the comfort of my living room, this year my feet were lucky enough to rest! Who am I kidding? I rather have hurting bleeding feet and go to the fashion shows than staying home and watch them through a bad internet connection...maybe next Fashion Week. :)
